Guess what!

Our hotel is one long block from a indoor mall. This is one of the swankiest, most upscale malls I have ever seen. All the stores are high-end merchandizers, including many designer apparel shops.
And the place is jammed with people. Well, it makes sense because, after all, it is the Christmas shopping season--in Beijing!

More master classes

On Thursday, Ellen spent three hours giving a master class at the nearby middle school, where our host, Wing Ho, has some students. They were all very well prepared and talented.
We thought of our family and friends on this Thanksgiving, one of the few we have spent away from Dallas. (I tried to cash a check today, but of course, the banks were all closed! (just kidding))
